Alternate names and spellings: Alexander de Balscot, Alexander of Balscot
Alexander Petit (de Balscot) served as Bishop of Meath from 1386 to 1400, but his presence as a witness to the submissions likely had as much to do with his secular positions as his ecclesiastical ones. Throughout the 1390s, Petit was enmeshed in the English governance of Ireland, serving multiple times as chancellor and once as justiciar.
